01 / The short version

XO does not ask who you are. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing to fill in. Your scores, wins, achievements, and theme choices live only in this browser tab while it is open — we collect and store nothing about you. The one exception: this site shows ads served by Google, and Google (not us) may use cookies to do that. Details below.

02 / What stays on your device

Your current game, scoreboard, and unlocked achievements exist in your browser's memory for the length of your visit. Closing the tab clears them. Nothing is written to your device or sent to us.

03 / What we do not do

• We do not collect names, emails, or contact details.
• We do not run our own tracking pixels or analytics on you.
• We do not sell or share data with third parties — we have none to share.
• We do not use the game's sound feature to access anything on your device.

04 / Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense. To show and measure ads, Google may use cookies and similar technologies, and may collect standard technical information from your browser (such as your IP address, device type, and pages visited).

• Google may personalize ads based on your visits to this and other sites, unless you have turned personalization off.
• You can control or turn off personalized ads in your Google Ads Settings, and opt out of many third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• We do not see, store, or receive any of the information Google collects — it goes to Google under Google's own privacy policy.

05 / Anonymous diagnostics

If the app hits an unexpected error, an anonymous diagnostic (an error message and the page you were on) may be sent to the platform that hosts this app so it can be fixed. It contains no name, no account, and nothing that identifies you.

06 / Third-party content

The app loads two typefaces from Google Fonts so the game looks the way it does. Your browser may briefly contact Google's servers to fetch them; that request carries standard technical details (like your IP address) that any website visit involves. We do not receive or use that information.

07 / Children

XO is a family-friendly game with no data collection, so nothing special is required to play it at any age.

08 / Changes

If we ever add features that change this policy (for example, saving your progress), we will update this page and the date at the top first.
